Miami, 1991. When his bloodthirsty urges can no longer be ignored, young Dexter Morgan must learn to channel his inner darkness as he transforms from student to vengeful serial killer under the tutelage of his father, Harry. Christian Slater is older than James Remar when Dexter (2006) first aired. It was followed by Dexter: Resurrection (2025). This is really cool. I’m three episodes in and I’m just loving the ride so far. It gives Dexter an early season vibe and the cast is really good. It’s been a long time and I’m surprised by how many people I know. Young, awkward Dexter is great and it’s fun to see him transform into the Dexter of season one. In fact, it picks up after the final season of “Dexter,” so if you haven’t seen it yet, be prepared for instant spoilers when you do watch it. They’re advertising that this is actually leading to something called “Dexter Resurrection” coming out this summer. Some people think Dexter should be allowed to die, but I love this new journey and can’t wait. I can’t wait for the next episode! “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres of the month. Check out our December calendar for more!
